Born in 1937, Argentine artist Nicolás García Uriburu studied Architecture at the National University of Buenos Aires. In 1968 he began to produce a series of interventions in the environment, becoming one of the leading figures in the international Land Art movement. His paintings have been exhibited at important galleries and museums in Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany and Japan. For the Buenos Aires project, he painted Paula Akil, a dancer at the Maipo Theater, who has performed in numerous shows, such as Pinti Canta las 40 y el Maipo Cumple 90: and Gilson Petrillo, a choreographer, dancer, producer and director of dance shows, who has performed in shows such as Tessitura & Poetica, Pini Canta las 40 y el Maipo Cumple 90, and Chiquititas.
