Grinspum studied at the Institute of Art and Decoration and at the School of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo. Her paintings, sculptures and installations follow the lines of geometric structure, while retaining a certain sensitivity emerging from the sensuousness of the material she uses. Grinspum imbued her project for Cuerpos Pintados with the sacred character of ritual. She made incisions in her skin, drawing symbols that reflected internal sensations, as a way to exorcize their burden.
