Chile (1955- )
Participated CP 1998-2002 Edwards studied Photography at Denison University, Ohio, where she received a B.A. degree, and at the Cranbrook Academy of Art, Michigan, where she earned an M.F.A. Her works are topographies of chaos and silence, structured out of the expressive forces of color, focalized by references to certain pieces of classical music. She used the body as a support to work with collage at the Experimental Workshop, presenting a total de-conceptualization of her model. The result was a fragmentation of the body, bordering on the abstract, yet enriched by symbolic elements. |
